Lots of one way streets and old money.

Not quite sure what the purpose is but the powers that be made many of the streets in Dili one way recently. It is really a nuiscance as you now have to wind your way through town to get anywhere. Major pain in the butt because there is minimal signage.

Another odd thing is that East Timor useses (sp) US dollar bills for its official currency. This means that every dollar you handle has been circulating forever here and are extreemly worn. If you chose to go to East Timor to dive or visit taking a few hundred new dollar bills might come in handy. They stamp their own coin but US coin is ok too but rarely seen.
