I did the laundry and washed and dried the memory cards for my camera. They were in the pocket of my jeans in case there was a problem with lost luggage. It was a dumb mistake but after a long flight when you are a bit tired it's easy to make mistakes. The surprising thing was that they still worked and had the memory still intact. Probably the only drawback to digital photos is that you can loose everything in a split second if something goes wrong. I was lucky. Always remember to have all your data on your computer backed up just in case.
