Tasitolu checkpoint

The Malaysian checkpoint is west of Dili past the airport and controls the traffic coming from the west.

They’re across the beach the dive site known as Dili rock.

These are a cool group of guys that patrol up and down the beach at night with their armored personal carriers.

They enjoy posing for pictures with the UN and NGO girls and played an important role in the peacekeeping when things got out of control.

The Aussie army, Kiwis, the GNR, and the Malaysians were the ones.

The UN were evacuated and were not there.
