There are many wonderful places you can dive in Vietnam such as Nha Trang islands, Phu Quoc island, Hoian beach, Halong Bay...The most favorite and well known diving site may be Nha Trang.

Hi pinklife,

Care to expand on that with some details? What type of marine life are you seeing? Corals? Caves?

What is the costs, are the dive sites hard to get to?

Pelagics? turtles? small unusual fish? nudibranchs? sharks or mantas?

Care to recommend any dive companies that you dove with?

Do the locals dynamite fish there?

Any info appreciated.

Vietnam is the newest dive destination.NhaTrang offers fantastic sites: with over 350 different species of corals, also various and rich underwater life.Maybe not good when you compare with Thailand but NhaTrang is nice for divers !

- Dive seasons in Phu Quoc is good from Jan to Sep
- NhaTrang have 8 dive center, but only three 5 Star Dive Center : Rainbow Divers, Sailing Club Diver and Blue Diving Club. When you go to diving in Phu Quoc, you can dive with Rainbow, that's good !
- NhaTrang haven't whale shark but you can see many corals and colourful fish. You can see whale shark in Hoi An ( Danang ) and Phu Quoc ( if you're lucky )

Have a good trip and good dive !
