Captain Garry can often be found at the Lavalon bar helping to prevent
Edwin from maintaining excessive inventory. When he is not there he is
usually at his resort the Kaki Ayam in Tablolong.
He is an action man and always has a project or two up his sleeve.
Married to a local woman, Indri, they worked to build a small resort
about 20 kilometers out of town as a place to get away from time to
time.
It is kind of a neat little set up that has small cottages for
rent for 100,000 rupiah a day including 3 meals. That is around 11.00
USD.
It is too far out of town for a single person but for couples it
is a great place to laze in the sun or kick back and watch the stars at
night.
You have to let the staff know if you are planning to have drinks that
night so they will have time to get ice from town and cool them down
for you.
There is a sandy beach across the road and down a little ways.
A bigger one is around the corner in the other direction.
Tabolong is a good
place for snorkeling and swimming or just being lazy in general.
