This resort might be the best value for those that want to stay on the beach near the whale shark tourist center. The rooms start at 800 pesos for a fan room with two single beds or one double bed.
Amor Farm Resort is a peaceful place to chill, right on the beach – I haven’t met anyone yet that was not happy with their stay at this resort.

There are always a few tricycle drivers waiting in line to take you wherever you want to go. ( It is maybe 3 kilometers to town ) There is a restaurant, basketball and volleyball set up, a nice beach for the area and a great view at sunset.
Plenty of secure parking is available if you travel with your own vehicle.
3 kayaks are available for rent at the dive shop.
800 pesos – double kayak for 3 hours
500 pesos – single kayak for 3 hours
This resort is within walking distance of the tourist center where you organize the whale watching boats. The boats take 7 passengers, therefore the 3,500 peso fee is split 7 ways – making for an incredible day for only 500 pesos each. (the 300 peso permit is good for 7 days and you will probably want to rent a mask and snorkel for 300 pesos if you don’t bring your own).
Diving is a bit more pricey.
If there is only one diver to dive the manta bowls near Ticao Island, the cost will be 12,300 pesos for 3 dives.

3 divers 4,500 pesos for 3 dives

If the current gets too strong or the divers are having difficulty, the boat will take everyone to nearby San Miguel Island instead. Most divers will hang around at 20 meters and wait for a chance to see the jumbo mantas that feed in the bowl. The odd whale shark passes through as well.

If you choose not to stay in Donsol proper, the Amor Resort might be the best value. I usually stay in town but everyone has their own style.

Hi,
I just want to correct the price that you put in this site for Diving. I am very much thankful that one of our divermaster and the diveshop and some of our equipment was posted. The price we have actually for 3 dives, 2pax – 6900 each; 3pax – 5000 each; 4pax and more – 4000 each. includes boat, DM services, 3 tanks, weights and belt, packlunch and refreshments. Plus 800 for the BCD, Regulator,wetsuit,mask and fins.

I believe the rates are per room but there is a 200 peso charge for extra persons above what the room is intended for

The “dutchpickle” website doesn’t actually make reservations.
Please contact the Arom Farms Resort directly – it’s quite a nice place and is right on the beach. So is the Vitton Resort. There are several budget places to stay in Donsol proper as well.

From Clark, go to the bus terminal in Dau and take the bus to Pasay.
From there take a bus to Legaspi.
Then take a bus or jeepney to Putiao – a small town at the junction on the Philippine national highway and the road going to Pilar/Donsol.
Then just hop a jeepney going to Donsol.
