Mountain Flowers

There was an amazing variety of wildflowers growing alongside the road coming down the mountain from Tulgao.

In the early morning it is really a beautiful walk but you want to get going before the sun gets too high in the sky and makes walking uncomfortable.

My gal has a thing for collecting wildflowers along the way.

There were pitcher plants growing in the shade which plucked and used as a vase for her collection.

I am told the local women harvest these plants and stuff them with rice and herbs and fry them at Christmas time.

It’s a nice easy walk if you ever get out that way.
