Arbels Pension House and Pacific Pensionne – Cebu City
Budget accommodation can be hard to find in Cebu city but this little pension house near the Fuente Osmena Circle might be an option.
Arbels Pension is just down the street from Robinson Mall and numerous places to eat. There are several internet cafes and a Starbucks nearby.
The newer Pacific Pensionne is next door and has hot water showers, cable tv, and air conditioning for less than 1000 pesos per nite.

Some of the rooms are marginal but if you get there earlier in the day you will have a greater selection.
The prices range from around 375 to 700 peso depending on the number of beds, air conditioning, and more importantly your bargaining skills.

The manager will almost always offer a 50 peso discount but there is a 50 peso key deposit.
For super budget travelers this will be a good possibility.

Pacific Pension – The Pacific Pension next door is a better choice for accommodation if you have a little bit more to spend. This place was not yet built when i put up this page but it is rapidly becoming a favorite of travelers because of its location near Osmena Circle. There is a 24 hour McDonalds just up the street and there are plenty of restaurants around the Fuente Osmena Circle – all within walking distance.
The fish tank in the lobby is kind of cool! It was difficult to get many pictures of this pension because it is tucked in at the end of the ally and there isn’t enough room to step back to get a full picture.
I only stayed at this pension one time and found it to be ok for Cebu. The rooms are rather small but all in all the Pacific Pension is a pretty good value. Pacific Pensionne

I am not actually a booking agent for Arbel’s Pension, just an information site for travelers.
Arbel’s is at the low end of accommodation in Cebu and dp would suggest looking the place over before making a reservation. It is in a good location and might work for those on a budget.

Arbels Pension House is in a great location but it is budget accommodation, therefore I suggest you have a look before committing yourself for a week.
I stayed at Arbels a few times, but more often stay at McSherry on Peleaz St behind the Mercedes Hotel. It’s a budget place too and it has big windows.
The nearby Cebu View Hotel has air con rooms and so does the next door Mercedes Hotel.

I have stayed previously at arbels. It is a very budget accommodation good for those staying few days and on limited budget. The aircon’s work fine and all rooms are clean. Cost for single room is P350. Double is P450 w/ aircon + TV. All Bathrooms are shared.
It is right opposite the park. Pacific Pensionne is laso on the same street.

I suggest staying next door at the Pacific Pension – that pension is just up the alley and the rooms are better but a bit more expensive.
