As you approach Malapascua Island you will notice an enormous castle like resort built on a rocky outcropping that overlooks the beach.

It kind of seems out of place and is a bit of an eyesore as it juts out into the sea in such a prominent position.

A San Miguel costs 50 peso in the bar which doesn’t seem to attract very many customers.

The spacious meeting hall is almost spooky with its huge empty size and dark atmosphere.

Blue Corals does have the best vantage point for taking photographs of the beach but with non air con rooms costing 1500 and air conditioned rooms costing 3500 it just seems an odd choice for a place to stay.
