Lite Shipping has a daily 11am ferry from Cebu to Ormoc. (except Fridays). The fare is 350 pesos per person and 850 for a motorbike. It arrives around 5:30 pm depending upon the weather.

cebu-ormoc-lite-22The boat returns from Leyte at 10 pm. There are bunks to sleep on and the boat will arrive in Cebu at 4:30 am. The ships crew doesn’t mind if you sleep for a an extra hour before getting off the boat.

cebu-ormoc-lite-9If you have a tight schedule the Super Cat ferry makes the trip in a lot less time, maybe 2 1/2 hours, but the fare is higher and the trip is less interesting to me.

    I have only crossed with a motorbike so far – that costs 850 pesos plus 350 for me.

    I will ask, next time I use Lite Shipping, what the rate is for multi-cabs.

    Keep in mind that they don’t sail on Fridays except under unusual circumstances.

    May I know, how much would be the cost to load an empty sacks(feeds)from cebu to ormoc?

    Hello nino,

    Please contact the Lite Shipping office directly. I have only used Lite Shipping for vehicles and foot passage.

    dutchpickle is an information site for travelers, but we don’t do the actual booking. However, I have seen many pallets of empty feed bags on the trips between Cebu and Ormoc and suspect that it is a common cargo.

    Lite Shipping has an office at the docks in Ormoc and at pier one in Cebu.

    Hi Joy,

    You can buy tickets in advance, but you will have to go the the Lite Shipping main office – the main office is not at the pier but nearby – turn by the Shell gasoline station and go about 150 meters up the street.

    Hi,
    I just want to know how to reach peir 4 from Mactan international Airpot and if can purchase ticket from lite shipping bound to ormoc the same day. pls help me ill be going to cebu on april 30 and hoping to be at ormoc the same day via lite shipping.sked flight from manila is 4am arriving more or less 5 am @ mactan airport

    Hello Shaine,

    Just ask the taxi driver and you should not have any problems.

    You should have plenty of time to stop at Jolibees for breakfast on the way to the pier if you are hungry.

    I think the the boat will leave around 12 noon but double check at the window where you buy the tickets. I think that you will buy the tickets at pier one and wait there for the shuttle bus to take you to the boat. – be sure to ask :)
