Eve’s Kiosk Dive Reort – Moalboal Cebu

Evelyn’s hotel is a big operation at the bend in the road just as you enter Panagsama Beach. It’s a favorite of the Japanese and Korean clients.

She has built up this small empire over the last 40 years starting from a small shop on the beach. It is quite a pleasant place in a convenient area but there is no real beach nearby or anywhere else in Moalboal.

Scuba diving is the main reason most tourists come here and the dive sites can get a bit crowded at times it seems to me. Nelson’s dive shop is next door, run by her brother.

Her air conditioned rooms start at 1,500 pesos for a single and double and 2,500 pesos for the large rooms or triples. Hot and cold water.

Her place up the road advertises budget rooms for as low as 350 pesos but I didn’t get a chance to have a look. The grounds are very nice but the rooms only average.

A group of Koreans have the place booked for the weekend. As it gets closer to Christmas it becomes more important to book your rooms in advance anywhere in the Philippines.

This applies to ferry and airline tickets as well.
