Ging-Ging Restaurant – Malapascua
This little restaurant is set back a ways from the beach on the maze of trails that criss-cross the island.
Ging Ging offers a good menu at a good price considering that Malapascua is a tourist trap.
San Miguel beer is 30 pesos, 1 liter mineral water is 30 pesos, and the prawns with vegetables for 170 pesos and was delicious.
Bacon, egg, and toast with jam breakfasts are 80 pesos. A potato omlette is 40 pesos.
Coffee with milk is 20 pesos and coffee black runs 15.
There are pizzas, sandwiches, soups and a pretty good 4 page menu to select from.
Ging Ging suggests ordering well in advance if you are interested in a whole roast chicken or something like that.
You can make reservations and they will have more time to prepare your meal.
It gives them time to catch the chicken he he :)
Most of the staff comes from other islands and are full of fun and mischief.
They are a pretty good gang and clown around a lot when it is not busy but are all business when the place fills up, which it does every night.
Ging-Ging is a very popular restaurant on this island and it has the lowest prices in any of the tourist hangouts.
There are some Filipino carinderias that have cheaper food but they are not on the main tourist trails and you have to look a bit to find them.
