Jungle Karaoke
“If there is electricity there will be Karaoke”.
This seems to be true anywhere in the Philippines.
While riding the back trails of Cebu island today we ran into a rain cloud that was dumping its load right on our heads.A quick listen led us to believe that there was a karaoke just ahead around the bend.
We decided to take shelter and sing a few songs with the gang there till the rain passed and were invited to come back anytime. The Philippines can really be a wonderful place if you are are willing to seize the moment.
Often the Filipinos that consider themselves a cut above miss out on the simple things in life because they are so concerned with status.
..if there is electricity there will be karaoke!

Lol, these things are everywhere I was on Lubang island (Just south of Manila) staying with some friends and we drove over some farm’s field, down what looked like a goat trail and then around a corner was this bar, and they had one there. There are also hundreds of bars with these. I was slightly gutted when they had a cut down version of Queen’s Bohemian Rapsity.
Freddy Mercury would be a tough one to do, for sure!
