Qou Vadis Beach Resort – Moalboal
This dive shop is at the far end of the “beach” between the Abyss and Mollies dive centers. The dive shop is well organized and the staff is energetic. I did a few dives with them at Pescador Island a few years ago.
German owned and spacious with accommodation ranging from budget to beach front villas.
There are 28 rooms with 6 or so very nice ones overlooking the water for around 1,700 pesos. If you are not tight on cash, these are really nice.
If you want to spend your money on dives there is more budget accommodation across the alley in the 500 to 600 peso range.
The dive shop is well organized and the manager Gary is really good at what he does.
Their dive boat pulls right up to the beach in front of the resort and the boys load up all the gear.
Pescador Island is a popular destination.
The waterfront bar gives you a nice view as you are winding down at the end of the day with a cold beer.
Qou vadis is far away from the noise and constant activity you get closer to town and works out well for those wanting peace and quiet. Bamboo poles are even placed across the road at night to keep out noisy traffic.

Hi!
We will be going to Cebu March27-79,2009. We only need 1 room. How much is the rate of the room?
Thanks
Grace
Hi Grace,
There is a wide range between the rooms overlooking the sea and the nipas set back in the palms.
Last time I checked the low end were around 500 pesos per nite. They’re not bad!
The nicer ones are around 1700 pesos a nite, but if you are only there for two nights it might be well worth the splurge!
Happy trip!

Hallo!
Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry. Please contact Qou Vadis directly using contact information above. dutchpickle is only an information site for travelers – by travelers and doesn’t make reservations
Quo Vadis Resort has an assortment of cottages in the shade of the palm trees at a reasonable price. There are also a few rooms overlooking the sea but they are more expensive but very nice.
Tricycles wait nearby, in front of Abyss Dive shop, that can be hired to take you the 4 kilometers to White Beach.
There are also resorts on White Beach. The drawback to White Beach is that it is more remote and harder to get to and from the resort to town.
Hi Grace, My husband and I are also looking into visiting this resort from March 25-28th for our honeymoon, so maybe we’ll see you there!
Does this resort have a bar on site? My husband and I are looking for relaxation but we also want to be able to enjoy drinks during the day and night. How far is the resort from the popular bars/restaurants?
Hi Lauren,
There is a nice bar overlooking the sea. I think that you will happy with the Quo Vadis.
There are plenty of other resorts within walking distance as well.
From the dive shop, take a left, you will pass the Abyss, then walk through the Pacitas complex and you will come to a group of small restaurants.
Continue onwards and there will be a solid row of dive shops.
If you want to take a trip to White Beach – it is too far to walk – contact the boys on tricycles in front of the Abyss.
Trips to the town of Moalboal can be organized too, if you just want to get away for a while. Local fare is 8 to 10 pesos, but as a newly arrived foreigner you can expect to hire the tricycle on a private run for 50+ pesos.
Have a great trip!

Hi! i would like to inquire more about this resort, does it have a nice beach where we can practically swim during the day? Im planning to go on December, and do they accept reservations? By the way, how far is Moalboal from City proper (Cebu City)? Thanks!
Hello Kevin,
Quo Vadis Resort is located on the waterfront but there is not really a “beach” per say, anywhere in Moalboal.
There was a typhoon a number of years ago that took away all the sand. “White Beach” is a few kilometers away north up the coast.
Quo Vadis has some very nice accommodation looking out over the sea and one could snorkel the corals in front of the resort. There is a nice grassy area near the bar and quite a nice pool as well.
The vibe at the Quo Vadis is pleasant.
It takes about 2 hours to get to Moalboal from Cebu City. The dive shops are located primarily on Panagsama “Beach” about 4 kilometers from Moalboal.
If you take a bus – you can get off at the market in Moalboal and then take a tricycle or motorbike to the beach.

Thanks for the affirmative response! is there a pool available at Quo Vadis?
Hi Kevin,
I am fairly certain that they have a nice, but small pool.
The setting is very nice. They have budget accommodation across the road but 4 very nice rooms facing the water near the dive shop.
I find the staff at this dive shop to be first rate.
cheers
