Albuera, Leyte really goes all out when it comes to Christmas decorations. These pictures were taken Christmas Eve 2008.
Driving along the coastal road in the cool of the evening is very enjoyable, especially at Christmas time.

i love driving my xrm over there during the night during December the lights are just beautiful.Right from the 1st sitio up to the last sitio of Albuera.
But after that incident one night when my gf(now my wife) and i went driving, we saw 4 guys covered with blood dislocated broken bones and brains splattered all over the pavement.
What happenned was they were on their xrm going home from a beer drinking session. at 95km/hr they zigzaged and slammed into the concrete shoulder of the bridge throwing the motorcyle a few feet cartwheeled a few more meters from the initial bang. Bodies where 10 meters away slumped on the side of bridge lifeless. There was one guy who was still conscious and was helped into a tricycle. I am still amazed how he managed to stay awake or alive with dislocated probably broken shoulders and fingers, right thigh looked like only a few tissues holding it from completely separated from its feet and a huge gash in the head with what looked like a brain smothered with blood all over. GRUESOME huh!?! I couldnt picture it much better than that my english vocabulary is not that good hehe.
Anyway, after that i never drive along that way at nights.
