McDonalds in Tacloban
This might turn some serious tourists off, but the best view of the harbor is from the McDonalds fast food restaurant downtown.
Incoming pumpboats from the islands land just outside the window and you can watch them unload while you eat. I’m not a huge fan of McDonalds food but they do have pretty good coffee.

This lad was selling oranges outside the door. We landed up getting 9 of them and found them to be excellent!
We went back the next morning just to buy more oranges.
It’s packed inside any fast food “restaurant” at noon in the Philippines.
Nothing takes precedence over lunch time. I once had to wait 20 minutes for someone to finish their lunch before they could hand me their business card.
The Philippines even beats the US as the fast food capitol of the world.
This one really deserves a look just because of it’s location.

I’ve been there this June 2009. Not bad food it was close to American food except the hamburgers not true meat, lost 10 pounds when there but I had a great time will be back.

Sorry about that Mr. Alan Rabenold, but the thing is, now people know what to do when they want to lost weight, they just go there and visit. Ha, hha, ha!!!
