Lighthouse at Cape Bojeador
There is something about a lighthouse sitting atop a hill all alone that is appealing to me.
The one at Cape Bojedor is the most accessible one that I have come across in the Philippines, just off the highway between Laoag and Pagudpud in Northern Luzon.
The coast road up and around the top of Luzon is scenic with quite a few interesting sights along the way. This lighthouse in particular is kind of a unique sight.

I have seen the Melville Lighthouse at the southern end of Palawan on Balabac Island and also the one on Capul Island in Samar. All three are are real beauties . If anyone knows of other interesting ones please comment below because I would like to check them out.
Circular stairway inside the lighthouse.
The lamp inside the still functioning lighthouse.
Reflectors inside the lighthouse.
This is some form of hoist system on pulleys that must be used to bring replacement parts to the top. It seems like this would be the easiest way to get lamps up there with less risk of breaking them.
Looking out one of the windows of the lighthouse.
Cape Bojeador Lighthouse
Still standing watch over the west coast of Luzon.
This ship had run aground about 50 kilometers up the coast.
Beautiful lighthouse.
