Philippine WindmillsBangui Bay Windmills

Bangui Beach WindmillsI was taking a tour of Luzon on a motorbike and came across this windmill farm.

It was a surprise to see this high tech wind generation set up here in the Philippines.

Northwind, a Danish outfit,  supplied the generators and expertise for the project.

I got sidelined by a few San Miguels at the karaoke bar and had to put my tent up in the dark. There was a typhoon passing through the Philippines further south but we were spared from the storm.windmill and sunset

  1. Photos looks like taken from another country :) It’s refreshing to see Windmills up north…haven’t traveled farther than Isabela so these are all new to me.

    Hello Romy

…sounds like a good idea to me!

I read in the paper recently that Burgos Wind Energy Systems is spending 14.4 billin pesos on an 86 megawatt wind power project in Burgos , Ilocos Norte.

Apparenly the Ayala Group has purchased a 50 percent stake in the Norh Wind Power Development Corp in Bangui Bay (the one in this story) wind energy seems like a good idea to me for generating electricity !

    thanks for posting
