Hillsview Inn Mindanao
One of the easiest road trips you can take in Mindanao would have to be the run from Surigao to Davao or General Santos. This 600 k is trouble free and there is a great little hotel around the midway point in the town of Trento, Agusan del Sur.
It seems out of place to have this water park in the middle of nowhere but what a convenient location for the traveler. There is a restaurant with good food, a disco, and a water slide!
Dorm accommodation starts at 200 pesos and the executive rooms are 1,500. They were running a 15 percent discount promo when I was passing through town.

Basically hot water starts at the Deluxe level and up.
The lower end accommodation uses common cr (common bath rooms).
The food was really well done. Mark from Palawan was in charge of the cafe and did a very good job of it!

Must try this one some day bro. And spend a couple of hours in the water park too hahah. The accommodation looks excellent. Maybe in the newyear when i go vivit my son in Tagum Davao. Wow he would love it too.

The Hillsview Inn really is a welcoming place, especially after a long drive and it’s the middle of the night!
I think that the restaurant closes at 8pm however, so keep that in mind.

Tampilisan is in Western Mindanao, the Hillsview Inn is in eastern Mindanao. (2 Days drive distant)
I suggest that you start at the Sea Breeze Inn on the coast just before you get to Dipilog from Dapitan. There are not many car rental places in the Philippines.
Most vehicles are hired out with driver.
