Philippine Snake Eagle
The Philippines is home to a variety of neat animals that are not common elsewhere.
Someone told me that this bird was a snake eagle, but I really have no clue. If there are any bird watchers out there that know for sure please comment and I will be most grateful. Thank you in advance.
These are all in a friends backyard. I prefer animals be kept in the wild but these were living in captivity from a young age and really wouldn’t make it on their own.
They had been pets of some of the local people who dumped them off when they became too much of a nuisance to care for.
The heron had a habit of pecking kids on the back of the head sending them running away screaming at the top of their lungs. He was a real character.
The monkeys loved to eat fish and Cris also had the fattest crocodile I’ve ever seen. The eagle had a neat way of flaring its neck feathers when you came too close.
