A roof over the bike is a common add-on in Leyte and Samar because it rains so much.

Northern Mindanao – motorcycle taxi

Here on the road near Surigao this motorcycle taxi had 9 passengers and a bag of rice on his bike. Driver plus 9 – note that there are two passengers on the other side sitting on the outriggers there.

10 people on one bike! These Filipino drivers really are good.

Simply amazing. (There are 2 passengers on the rack on the other side. You can see one guy with white sunglasses looking around to see what is happening.

This was a difficult shot to get as I was heavily laden myself. We were coming back from a Manila – Zamboanga – and back to my place in Samar trip.
