Capul Island Lighthouse

This beautiful lighthouse is on the north end of Capul Island off the coast of Samar.

We camped on the grass on the point and were treated to a great sunset and a beautiful view of Mt. Mayon.

Capul Island is a peaceful place and it’s strategic location made it an important defensive position during the Spanish rule.

Melville Lighthouse on Balabac Island

It takes a bit of work to get down to the southern tip of Palawan and then down to Balabac Island.

It’s so cool to look out across the Balabac Straits towards Borneo.

Cape Bojeador Lighthouse – Northern Luzon

This stunning lighthouse is on the coast of northern Luzon in Ilocos Norte.

This functioning lighthouse is easily accessible from the main highway.
