This upscale resort is on prime beach front, but they have budget accommodation as well.

Swiss/Filipino owned – This resort would be a relaxing place to stay even if you don’t like diving.

The resort is about 7 kilometers out of town so interaction with the locals will be limited, but some people prefer it that way.

Be sure to have a look at Artistic Dives’ informative website for prices and dive descriptions. The only thing that I would add is that if you stop in Dumaguete before you come to Sipilay, get your visa extension there (if it will be needed later).

In Dumaguete you can drop off your application at the immigration office in the morning and pick it up that afternoon with the completed visa extension.

Cebu City is another place to get a visa extension quickly and efficiently. Ask any cab driver to take you to the Immigration Building in Mandaue City.
