Casaroro Waterfalls - Valencia – Negros

Casaroro Falls, also known as Valencia Falls is a short trip from Dumaguete.

Cool waters welcome you for a swim after you negotiate the 350+ concrete stairs down to the river. The roar of the cascading water and the gushing mist in your face is invigorating!

The drive is only 45 minutes from Dumaguete but there is not any regular transport up the mountain where you start walking.

You could rent a motorbike or hire a habal-habal motorbike driver to take you up there. It gets quite slippery after a steady rain and the rocks get covered with a slimy algae so be careful.

This has to be one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Philippines! There were two birdwatchers on the hill but we were the only ones at the falls.

It the Philippines, it’s a good rule of thumb to take in the sights on the weekdays because it can get crowded on weekends.
