Kiwi Dive Resort

The setting on the expansive beach here in Sandugan Bay is very peaceful.

Daisy, the previous manager has gotten married and moved to Lazi. She was a great gal and I miss her.

Neal is still the dive guide and continues to entertain with his stories about various dive adventures and mis adventures.

img_1451.jpgHe is an excellent guide especially for the sanctuary, the best dive on the island in my opinion.

I had coffee with a kayaker from Kamchatka down there today who was staying there with his Russian wife.

We had a great exchange and I hope he gets his project going in the Coron Islands. What a neat life he has made for himself.

The water in front of this resort is very shallow and the beach sand is exposed in low tide.

You can walk a long ways either direction down the beach and watch hordes of soldier crabs disappear under the sand as you pass by.

Kiwis has a dorm room where you can stay for 200 pesos. I think it's great because there are often no other people staying there and you have the place to yourself.

This is kind of a neat place to stay but it is remote so it might be a little lonely for the single traveler, therefore I recommend that you rent a motorbike so you can get away when you want to.

Feel free to add contact info on the forum and I will include it here.
