Puerto Pension – Puerto Princesa
This place advertises itself as being recommended by the “Lonely Planet” guide book. It had a grand view overlooking the harbor and a very comfortable restaurant on the top floor.

There is a nice breeze blowing through the open windows and is a great place to grab a beer and watch the ships sail by.

The Puerto Pension has beautiful view and it is near the new bay walk.
Puerto Pension is somewhat isolated from the restaurants, malls, and bars so if you don’t have your own wheels it is a long walk to get anywhere.
If you just want to get away from town in a peaceful surrounding this might be what you are looking for.

Have a great stay in Palawan! Feel free to make comments about your trip here when you get back. Thanks.
I’ve been to Palawan twice and there’s no place for me but Puerto Pension for the much needed R & R. The staff and the waiters are accommodating and friendly. It’s very near the Baywalk and the public market. Puerto also offers tours at an affordable price. Great food at Tribu Restaurant. Clean rooms, safe place and cozy.
Hello miss ness,
Thanks for the update – is the Baywalk completed now?
Puerto Princessa is growing by leaps and bounds!

Dutchpickle,
Is it cheaper to book your own tours than having it packaged along with the rooms?
Lastly, can i make credit card payments online?

By the way can you please make me a reservation and can I pay your direct or with credit card……..You still there????
HI DP
I FOUND THIS PLACE BEFORE I FOUND YOUR WEB SITE AND HAD BOOKED A FEW NIGHTS THERE. I LIKE THE IDEA IT IS OUT OF TOWN A WAYS. WE CAN GET A DOSE OF FRESH AIR. WE COME IN LATE AND WE WILL JUST TAKE A TRIKE TO GET THERE, DO YOU REMEMBER HOW FAR FROM THE AIRPORT IT IS.
WELL I CONVINCED SEFF SHE WOULD BE JUST FINE ON THE BACK OF THE XR GOING TO SABANG AND THE UNDERGROUND RIVER. DO YOU NO IF THERE IS A CAR RENTAL COMPANY THERE I CASE SHE GETS COLD FEET ABOUT THE XR.
WE WILL JUST GO EASY AND MAKE A FEW STOPS ALONE THE WAY. THIS WILL ALSO BE NICE SO WE CAN SEE THINGS AT OUR OWN PACE. DO THE RENTAL PLACES KEEP THE BIKES IN GOOD CONDITION DO YOU NO.
THANKS PATRICK
ILL LET YOU NO HOW THE TRIP GOES WE LEAVE IN A FEW DAYS.
T HANKS PATRICK
Hello Patrick,
You will actually have to pass through Puerto Princesa city to get to the Puerto Pension from the airport.
The view from the restaurant/bar on the upper level is great, but I never stayed at this pension house.
Another option would be the Amelia Pension right by the airport. The airport road is very peaceful and shaded and there is very little noise because there are very few flights.

There are 3 motorcycle rental shops on the airport road as well. The bikes vary in condition. I think your girl will enjoy the ride!
There is a steady stream of shuttle vans going to Sabang too (if its raining or the bike doesn’t work out)
Have a great trip- keep in touch!

Booked at puerto pension for my trip this may 15-18…looking forward to it..it seems reviews have been outstanding..
I’ve stayed in 10 Hotels in the Philippines and stayed twice this month at Puerto Pension and I’m giving this place a 5star to stay with. Thank you so much for all the friendly staff specially Jonathan and Chona who works at the front desk, the contractual chubby from the bar. Thank you so much and see you again.
