Travel from Manila is straightforward to most big cities in the Philippines, but going anywhere from a starting point other than Manila takes a bit of work.

img_0572.jpg To get to Puerto Princessa from Catbalogan in Samar you can catch the Grand Tours mini bus to Tacloban in Leyte. (cost 120 peso)

From there the Dup Tours shuttle bus will take you to Ormoc for another 120 peso. The pier is only 2 or 3 blocks from the DupTours terminal. You can walk or take a tricycle.

img_0567.jpgThe Dup Tour shuttle driver might be willing to drop you at the SuperCat ferry dock. The Weesam fast ferry departs from the same pier.

The boat leaves for Cebu 3 times a day
8:45am 2:20pm 7:55pm
the fare is around 750 peso one way

If you arrive late at night there is a free bus service to downtown Cebu.

It will go to the Colon district where there are many hotels available at all times of the day.

img_0580.jpgIn the morning you can take a jeepney to Robinson Mall on Pelaz St.and get a ticket on Cebu Pacific for 1400 to 1550 peso one way to Puerto Princesa. It leaves around 10 am 3 times a week. Mon, Thurs and Sat.

The airport is on Mactan Island a ways out of Cebu. A taxi will cost around 150 peso from downtown Cebu. Domestic airport departure tax is 200 peso.
