Ceres Lines - Dumaguete to Cebu

The Ceres Liner bus company runs between Cebu city and Dumaguete 4 times a day.   Your bus takes a short hop on a ferry between the islands of Cebu and Negros. There is an additional fare of about 50 peso for boat trip.   You get off the bus for the trip across the open water and sit in the upstairs section of the boat.   It is a fairly quick trip and you don't have to worry about making a bus connection once you are across the water. They leave at least once an hour and the fare is 89 pesos. If you take one marked "Economy" the fare will be 50 pesos. Occasionally they have a promotion in order to make tougher competition for Rough Rider, the new line of red buses that take the same route. This is also the bus you will take if bound for Kawasan Falls past the town of Badian. If you plan to stay in Moalboal you can catch the bus south bound at the market when you are ready to leave again. Take a bus to Bato and get off at the pier where you can catch the pump boat or the fast ferry across to Negros. If you are planning to go to Malapascua Island off the north end of Cebu you will leave from the "North" terminal in Mandaue City. Take it to Maya where you will catch a pump boat to Malapascua. There are no Ceres buses that go between the south and the north terminal.
