Classic Sinclair gasoline station
This sparkling Sinclair gasoline station and garage is next to Stone Lake in southern Michigan. It is completely unrelated to most posts on this website but it is interesting so I included a few pictures.
The neat thing about having a blog is that you can put up just about anything you want if you feel that someone will find it interesting.
This antique police car and wrecker have been restored and it gives the feel that you are stepping back in time. Those familiar with the US realize that there are almost no Sinclair Stations still in use. This one has been restored and really looks cool.
Beautifully restored wrecker.
Some restored hot rods are kept inside with some vintage fuel pumps. This is just too cool.
One reason I added some pages about the back roads of America is to let people know that you can enjoy finding lots of interesting sights when you explore the country roads and just take a look at what is out there. There are many surprises like this to greet you.
Pages like this only take a few minutes to put together and someone will get something out of it.
Stone Lake police car.
Some people put a lot of work into restoring this display – thanks guys !
I am uploading this from a McDonalds in Elkhart Indiana. Took about a half hour while I was drinking a coffee and eating two burgers.
The world is getting smaller by the day!
A person anywhere in the world can chance across this website and it might get them thinking – wow I didn’t know that America had stuff like this ha ha!
Pretty cool : ) If you like to see stuff like this on the dutchpickle site please leave a comment below and let me know. If you find this sort of thing annoying let me know that too !
dp – thanks in advance
Back roads of America !
Ah, brings back memories. Nice posting!
DP,
Your websites a travel and information website and in our travels we all come across places like this place you just posted on…I find posts like this on your website very interesting to read about, keep it coming mate!
The Sinclair gasoline station and garage looks like the ones you see in the old Amercain movies of the 1940’s and 1950’s as they just don’t make cars like that anymore that are built to last forever not like the ones build today that your very lucky to get just ten years out of them!
