Kodiak people

Kodiak Island is really a great place to live especially for people that love to hunt and fish.

There are big halibut that move with the tide between Kodiak and Near Island to the buoys on the way to Spruce Island.

A good run of salmon move up the Buskin River 4 to 5 miles out of town towards the coast guard base. It is easily accessible by road. Most of the other spots are best reached by boat.
