The Sabin Resort is a hotel a few kilometers out of Ormoc City southbound on the main highway. The view is great, the restaurant has good food, and the pool is relaxing.

I have not yet stayed at the hotel but occasionally stop in here for lunch. The food is above average and they often have some outstanding deserts available.
This is the main dining room but I usually prefer to sit outside.

Truly a beautiful place DP. Spectacular in every way and still holding on to the old Spanish charm.
I had the pleasure to meet the owner, a very gracious senior lady whom spent some time chatting.
We returned for dinner the following day, sadly the service and food left the resort down during our stay. Not withstanding the place is beautiful.

I stayed here back in April. The grounds are great, but the room I stayed in was a little unkempt, and required some maintenance. Its wasn’t bad for Philippines standards, but when I saw the grounds, I expected a better room. Still a nice place though!

This place is magic. We have been here for many years. Every year there is an improvement. My family enjoys it. The boys can swim for hours and we can taste the traditional Filippine kitchen. I am a vegetarian, but even for me there is a lot of choice. Als you will notice, the materials used building this hotel are top quality and almost every window has an breathtaking view on the garden and the sea.
Romantic live music is often played in the evening.

One of the best things that Sabin has is the band that plays at night from around 7:30 to 9. The short young man has a fine voice, while a taller young lady is a fine addition. The selection of songs they perform is exquisite. If you are anywhere in the area, I suggest giving them a try for at least one meal/band listen!
